Security is a stack of features, not one checkbox

Cellular service can maintain communication after a mower is moved away, which makes it particularly relevant to remote theft notifications and tracking. Some products include cellular hardware and service; others require an optional module or may offer only a promotional service period.

Before buying, check whether anti-theft functions require an active subscription after an included period. Think about security before choosing the dock location

A dock visible from a public road can make a mower easy to notice, while a station hidden too aggressively behind walls or a shed may create navigation or connectivity problems. Security and reliability therefore have to be balanced. Choose a compliant operating location first, then reduce unnecessary visibility with sensible landscaping or approved accessories rather than compromising the mower’s positioning requirements.
